Dhoum (Mone) Jouymany

Dhoum – or Mone as she is fondly called – is a Katu woman from the south of Laos and a master weaver. Having started weaving at the age of seven, Mone is passionate about weaving and creating new and contemporary designs in soft furnishings and clothing.

Softwinds of Trade is delighted to be working with Mone on the co-design of some beautiful cushion covers in the Katu+Oma, Oma+Job’s Tears, and the Katu ranges.

The Katu+Oma and Oma+Job’s Tears collections are exclusively available to Softwinds of Trade.

The complete Katu range includes many of Mone’s designs woven by herself and other master weavers in her family and others from her village in the south of Laos.
