Tai Lue Indigo + Shibori Scarf
Indigo + shibori = match made in heaven!
Pattern + colour: Shibori flower pattern, indigo, white
Size: 182cm x 41cm + 3cm fringe at each end
Material + technique: Handspun, handwoven on a loom using indigenous cotton, naturally hand-dyed in locally grown indigo using Itajime Shibori method of resist dyeing to produce the beautiful flower repeat pattern.
Ethnic Group + Region: Tai Lue, Luang Prabang, Laos
Care: Gentle wash or hand wash in cold water with mild soap. Do not soak. Line dry only. Iron as needed. The more you wash me the softer I become!

Sourced directly from a Tai Lue village in Luang Prabang that is famous for its locally grown indigo plants used to make the beautiful blue hues that is produced by these plants. The cotton is also sourced locally and dyed with indigo in the traditional Japanese Shibori method resulting in a stunning, unique scarf.
